The radical archive of history with Dr. Lewis Borck

When people with one way of seeing the world encounter another group, they can't make sense of what they are seeing because it doesn't fit into their narrative, so what they see becomes altered to fit their ideas of how the world works. Although there have always been historians and archeologists who have challenged these stereotypes, alternative views on history are coming more common, more accepted, and the fact is that Indigenous civilizations throughout what is now the colonized west had a much different way of living and organizing themselves. Our past really is a radical archive of possibilities. We reference this article throughout our conversation with Lewis Borck. https://www.yesmagazine.org/democracy/2018/10/09/indigenous-people-invented-the-so-called-american-dream/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A%20yes%2Fmost-recent-articles%20%28YES%21%20Magazine%20Most%20Recent%20Articles%29 Transcript is available here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e6Hg8y2pePQjpgN8ShtL-Ro5eDMi-X1Q/view?usp=sharing
